Man Bags 20-Year Jail Term Aggravated Robbery

A South African man has bagged a 20-year jail term after being found guilt of aggravated robbery.

The man is identified as a 30-year-old man whose name is Siyasanga Mangqasana and this revealed in a statement by the South African Police Service.

Per what we gathered, he committed the robbery in Dec 2019 and he was sentenced by a Mdantsane Regional Court.

He was nabbed with the help of the members of the community and the vehicle he stole was recovered on the same day.

The statement issued by the police reads;

KING WILLIAMS TOWN- Siyasanga Mangqasana (30) was sentenced to 20 years in prison for aggravated robbery on 20 April 2021.

Mangqasana was released on parole for a robbery that he was convicted for when he robbed a 7 seater vehicle while its driver had just finished dropping his passengers in Mdantsane on 24 December 2019.

With the help of the community the vehicle was recovered on the same day and the suspect was arrested was also arrested on the same day.

Mangqasana was sentenced in Mdantsane Regional Court.”
