Emmanuel Abrokwa, a retired teacher has allegedly shot himself dead at Ekumfi Aburam in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.

According to reports, the incident was said to have taken place on Monday morning after he returned from the farm.
A witness, Samuel Acquah, told Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan that gunshots were heard coming from the direction of the dead’s chamber not long after he saw the dead arrive home.
He had to rush to the scene with some others only to find Mr. Abrokwa lying in a pool of blood dead.
Mr. Abrokwa who is believed to be in his 70’s shot himself in the stomach in the same resident where he lived with his wife and children.
The body has since been deposited at Saltpond Mortuary while Police have commenced investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, there was a fire outbreak at the Elmina Fishing Market which burnt fresh fishes and properties worth thousands of cedis.
According to reports from the devastated fishmongers, the fire devoured a wooden shed containing several barrels of premixed gasoline and fishing equipment.
Also, one of the injured whose injuries looked very severe was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The fire started when premix fuel being moved into a canoe by several fishermen came into touch with flames in a coal pot, according to Mena Ekua, a fishmonger who observed the incident.
She said that many on the site instantly dove into the Benya Lagoon, preventing a large number of deaths.
