The trike rider, believed to be in his 30’s, was reportedly transporting two youngsters, ages 3 and 4, when he was apprehended, according to eyewitnesses.
According to reports, he refused to answer several questions about how he got access to the kids and where he was taking them.
As a result, he was stripped nude and beaten to unconsciousness before being rescued by Abofour police.
According to an Assembly member who assisted in the suspect’s rescue, he is yet to confirm claims that the children were tied in a bag and thrown in the back of the car. He said that both the accused and the victims are Asuboi locals.
He went on to say that the suspect maintained his innocence during the interrogations and that if his tale isn’t believed, he has opted to remain silent.
However, the victims who are yet-to-be-identified are said to be part of a suspect kidnapping that occurred in the area some time ago.
