The Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Okyere Darko has averred that adultery must also be criminalized just as a bill has been proposed to the parliament against the LGBTQ community.
His comment comes following the masses that have thrown their weights behind the criminalization of the practice of homosexuality in the country.
Recall, the member of Parliament representing Ningo Prampram stated clearly that the practice of homosexuality is only a sexual preference, thus cannot be regulated or made a human right.
It is at the back of this that Gabby Okyere Darko has averred that in the quest of the Anti-Gay commission to eradicate homosexuality from the country, adultery which is also a serious sin should also be criminalized.
In a tweet, Gabby stated that Ghanaians have always claimed to uphold their Christian values, parading themselves as a staunch Christian country, yet some sins are tolerated while others are not.
According to him. adultery which can also be classified as a serious sin, punishable by death, thus it also needs to be criminalized.
He proposed a petition to the parliament for a Private Member’s Bill for a law against adultery, and stiff penalties must be imposed.
He wrote; Majority of Ghanaians are Christians. They believe in upholding Christian values. Adultery is a serious sin punishable by death (Lev. 20:10). I am therefore proposing a petition to Parliament for a Private Member’s Bill for a law against adultery, imposing stiff penalties.
