Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale has said he could go on retirement and would still be financially sound.
The ‘1DON’ hitmaker shocked social media users when he announced on 1st April 2021, that he will soon retire from music. According to him, his forthcoming ‘Gift Of God’ album will be the last of him as a musician.
The news caused a huge deliberation on social media where fans refused to accept the fact that he is going on retirement. Others thought it was a prank because of the time and date he made the tweet. However, it may be true as he explained himself at an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

He made it known that it wasn’t a prank, he wants to relegate himself to the back to allow the upcoming artistes to shine. He wishes to help them grow to reach the height he has reached in the art of making music.
Also, bowing out won’t affect his finances because he invested in some business which the returns have been good.
It’s true. I will be one of the few musicians who will retire and be financially okay. I don’t want people to feel disappointed but I have businesses going well for me.”
“I did some stocking investments here in the states and it’s growing. It’s time for us to support the industry. We need to give chance to the upcoming too,”
