Jesus Would Have Fought And Protected LGBTQI People – Sister Derby
Deborah Owusu-Bonsu popularly known by her stage name Sister Derby has made an explosive statement saying, Jesus Christ would have fought, defended and protected the LGBTQI which is the acronym for Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex if he was alive in our current dispensation of the modernization.
The singer, took to her twitter page to express her opinion about the recent rise of the debatable discussion on whether LGBTQUI should be legalize or not in Ghana.
According to the Kanzo crooner and self acclaimed Africa Mermaid, the Christian set especially the Bishops and Priests who claim Jesus was the most kind person and came for sinners should know that, Jesus would have loved and support LGBTQI rather than fighting them like what they’re doing.
She tweeted “The bishops/priests claim Jesus was the most kind person who they follow while being wicked to a marginalised group Jesus would have protected and fought for!!! Think about it.”

The issue of gay right or legalization of LGBTQ and is a dicey issue in Ghana. Although the current 1992 constitution does not specifically stipulates LGBTQ right and gay marriage is not supported in it.
However, a set of Ghanaian citizens have plainly throw their support in defend to legalize gay marriage and LGBTQ in the country.
Recently, rumour spread that a group of LGBT have opened an office in the capital; Accra.
Whiles Ghanaians wait on president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to speak on the matter, there has not been any words from the office of the presidency yet.
