The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has opined that Nigeria lacks the proper political parties to steer forward the agenda of the nation for development.
According to the governor, the country cannot move forward when it is still tied to colonialism. He called for unity and co-operation between the citizens and the political parties.
Fayemi presented his submission at a get-together put up by the members of the National Assembly to mark his birthday in Abuja.
In his words: “It is about what would make a difference to our people. And none of our two parties (veiled reference to the ruling All Progressives Congress and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party), or any of the parties that we have; none of us is there yet. We are still platforms.
