Her assertion however evoked some mixed reactions from social media users. Ghgossip culled some reactions below;

In other news, Mary Njoku clapped back at those on social media user who constantly criticise and troll her over her style of dressing and describe her as local person when she steps out.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Mary Njoku said that some people come up with the theory of how her the dress she puts on her does not match her status in society considering the fact that she is a public figure and is a role model to hundreds of thousands of people.

She pointed out that her critics have abandoned their personal issues and decided to focus their attention on her and dictating how she should dress and appear in public.

Mary Njoku told them to keep their mouths shut and let her live her life the way she wants and advised them to make their family members their role models.

She wrote:

Leave me ALONE

If meet your ‘mannequin expectation’ of a role model, change me. I beg you. I NO DO AGAIN.
If my local self can be MARY NJOKU, it says a lot about your posh self. Misplaced priority.
