Late Nigerian clergyman and televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua had spoken about the cancellation of his birthday celebration party earmarked June 12, before his shocking death.
The General Overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Temitope Balogun Joshua aka Prophet TB Joshua died on Saturday evening, June 5 after reportedly holding a church service the same day and his death has since left Nigerians in shock including Christians around the world.
In a recent broadcast by the revered preacher, he pointed out he cannot his birthday considering the current situation of the country and he is really troubled by it and he urged his followers and members of church to pray and fast as he expressed hope in celebrating more birthdays in the future.
In the video, he said;
“Viewers all over the world, June 12th is around the corner. As you know, I am a man of the people. So, the wound of one is the wound of all.
As things stand, you may have realised it will not be easy for me to celebrate my birthday under the present circumstances. Some of the people who want to come are troubled by the situation all over the world. We see their fear and their worry. I feel their pain; I feel their worry.
Therefore, let us dedicate this day to prayer and fasting. Don’t forget the needy. By the grace of God, more birthdays are ahead. God bless you! Emmanuel. Jesus is Lord! Happy Birthday!”
