An Okada rider identified as Nana Yaw is currently in critical condition at the Nsawam Government Hospital after colliding with a taxi at Maame Dede junction on the Nsawam-Adeiso stretch.

The rider who is believed to be in his 20’s is said to have made an unusual turn as he approached a road intersection, oblivious to the approaching Hyundai Matiz taxi.
The taxi driver narrated that incident to Asante Krobea of Adom News that the Okada rider unexpectedly halted when doing a U-turn while having a chat with someone at the station.
He said that he made an attempt to swerve the Okada driver to avoid the collision but all efforts proved futile as he crashed into him.
The Okada rider collided with the front passenger side of the GG 2512-18 cab, dislodging his rim and other elements of the motorcycle in the process.
Residents came to the gruesome scene and assisted Adeiso police in transporting the seriously injured Okada rider to the Nsawam Government Hospital.
The Adeiso District Police Command has responded to the scene thus far, but the reason for the collision has yet to be determined. While investigations continue, both the car and the motorcycle have been towed to the Adeiso Police Station.
