Police And Dirtiness Have A Strong Relationship


Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, has chastised Nigerian police for the condition of most of its barracks.

On Tuesday, September 28, Wike made this disclosure at the Police Barracks SPU at Omagwa in the state’s Ikwerre LGA. He addressed the fact that police in Nigeria often live in filthy places and continues to wonders if it is some kind of chronic illness.

He commended the IG for saying that the Police will now be supervised and hoped that they come back one day to see the place as clean as it were before. He said;

”I don’t know wether it is a sickness in the police. Anywhere they live, the place should be dirty. IG I thank you for saying that you would supervise…look at how clean it is now…I hope when we come back here in a few months, it will be clean like this”
