Ghanaian counselor, Counselor Frank Adofoli has indicated that marriage is full of problems and no matter how hard your spouse tries to be good, he or she will disappoint, hurt or frustrate you sometimes.
He made this known in a recent post he made on his official social media handle on the popular social media platform, Facebook.
The post he made reads;
“The relationship is therefore expected to be taken very good care of just like the item bought knowing it has no warranty. Most people don’t have this culture of maintenance. Their way of solving problems is replacement instead of repair. They rather go out and exert a lot of effort and resources looking for a replacement, when all they need is a little sacrifice and effort to make what they already have work; forgetting that the new one they are seeking also has no warranty.You did not marry an Angel. Every marriage is made up of two sinners. Regardless of how hard your spouse tries to be good, they will disappoint, hurt or frustrate you repeatedly. Therefore don’t expect your spouse be a saint. Rather enter marriage with a realistic expectation to be hurt and a readiness to forgiveWhen you have issues, do your best to resolve them, for the word ‘replacement’ is not in the marriage dictionary, ‘repair’ is the one found. The goal is to stay together. So don’t give up on each other.”
