Stop Pressurising Women With 'When Are You Getting Married' Questions


Ghanaian media personality, Berlinda Addardey who is known as Berla Mundi has slammed society over sensitive questions about marriage and giving birth.

According to the broadcast journalist Berla Mundi, a lot of women are going through emotional and psychological pressure from society because they are pestered by their childlessness and the delay of their marriages.

A lot of women above the age of 25 go through a form of pressure either from home or from society when their marriages are delayed. With those who are also married and have not given birth yet, society and family mount pressure on them for their childlessness.

Berla Mundi has taken to her Twitter page to slam society for mounting pressure on women to get married and also give birth. She stated that it tends to take a toll on the mental health of these women.

She wrote, “you are aging. When are you going to marry? Oh, you got married? Congrats. When are you having a baby? Dear society, why do you keep asking these? Do you think of the emotional and psychological pressure you place on these places?”
