Senator Chukwuka Utazi has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari change the manner he treats people in the south-east.
During an appearance on Channels Television on Tuesday, October 5, the member representing Enugu North senatorial district in the National Assembly made the call.
Utazi claimed that Buhari talks down to people from the South-East, despite the fact that a stable Nigeria is beneficial for the Igbos. He recommended Nigeria’s president involve stakeholders in resolving any issues that may exist.

“I want to tell you that Mr President has the magic wand. His attitude, language to the South-East, he has to change it.
“The temperature is high. The way he talks down on our people is not good.”
When asked whether an Igbo president in 2023 would solve the problem, the senator was undecided.
“I have said it times without number that changing the Hausa-Fulani cap with red cap does not address the issue.
“There are fundamental things you need to address. He has to come out and address the Igbos in the language they understand.”
Buhari, who claims to be the president of all Nigerians, including Igbo-speakers, claims that the agitations will end once he spends time to addressing the easterners.
